Who we are
101 Balona and 102 Balona is a family-owned Bulgarian company, founded in 1993 in Plovdiv. The company imports high-quality balloons, creates themed decorations, and owns its own balloon-printing machine. Today, more than three decades later, we operate two physical stores — in Plovdiv and Sofia — with a team devoted to one thing: turning our customers' occasions into unforgettable experiences.
Our two locations are staffed by a highly qualified team whose sole focus is flawlessly executed work. To keep our standards high, we invest in in-house training and attend seminars, conferences and trade fairs across Europe.
We work only with high-quality products and tools. We don't stock whatever happens to be on sale somewhere in the world — instead, we maintain a stable, professionally curated range that guarantees successful results for every job, from an intimate children's birthday to a large-scale corporate event.

The company is founded
In the autumn of 1993, our founder entered the balloon business with a small batch of balloons purchased from Switzerland — an idea suggested by his wife. That modest first step grew into Bulgaria's two most recognized balloon and decoration brands — 101 Balona in Plovdiv and 102 Balona in Sofia.

Building a professional product range
We build our own professional range of latex and foil balloons, produced by leading manufacturers across Europe.
- 1990s
In-house printing and branding equipment
We invest in original Austrian, German and Belgian printing technologies and materials for balloons, as well as professional equipment. We operate our own balloon-printing machine and a cutting plotter for custom branding — a service sought after by individual clients, advertising agencies and companies organizing corporate events and store openings.

Our client list grows quickly — from retail chains such as Billa, Metro, Kaufland and Lidl to international companies like Coca-Cola, Nestlé, KFC, IKEA, Lufthansa and many others. These long-term partnerships become proof of the quality and consistency of our work.

We build the capacity to run simultaneous decorations and promotional campaigns in several cities on the same day, serving clients throughout Bulgaria from our bases in Plovdiv and Sofia, with partners in Varna and Burgas.

As shopping malls expand across Bulgaria, we grow our portfolio with themed decorations for openings, team-building activities and corporate events, and begin experimenting with special effects that combine balloons and pyrotechnics to create memorable moments.
